VesselBot has been named an IDC Innovator in a new IDC report, the company announced on 10 September 2026. The recognition covers AI-enabled sustainability software across the product life cycle and follows publication of the IDC document in August 2026.

IDC Innovators reports single out smaller vendors that offer new technologies or novel solutions within defined market segments; the programme considers firms with annual revenues under $100 million at the time of selection. VesselBot said it qualified for the list on the strength of its Logistics Intelligence Platform and its use of AI to reconcile operational data with emissions and cost analysis.

VesselBot described its Logistics Intelligence Platform as a unifying system for shipment execution data across ocean, air, road, rail and parcel transport. The company says the platform brings together carrier information, track-and-trace feeds and external signals including satellite, geospatial, weather and telematics data to create a harmonised operational record.

The platform is intended for logistics, procurement, sustainability and finance teams, VesselBot said, to help them understand the operational drivers of cost, carbon emissions, service performance and supply-chain risk. The company added that the tool is designed to reveal the trade-offs that arise when planners balance cost and service against emissions across complex networks.

Digital twins and scenario modelling

VesselBot says the platform employs digital-twin technology and scenario modelling so users can compare cost, service and carbon outcomes under different routing, carrier and modal choices. The company presented the modelling capability as a way to make the consequences of operational decisions visible before they are executed.

According to VesselBot, that approach allows scenario comparisons at network scale rather than relying solely on point estimates, with the intent of surfacing options that reduce emissions or cost without unduly harming service levels.

Emissions reporting aligned to recognised frameworks

VesselBot stated that its emissions reporting is designed to support recognised reporting and calculation frameworks. The company listed ISO 14083 and widely requested corporate reporting regimes such as CDP, the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive and CBAM among the frameworks it aims to accommodate.

VesselBot said the reporting output is intended to assist teams that must reconcile operational transport events with the metrics and formats required by these regimes.

The announcement did not disclose commercially sensitive metrics such as revenue, customer numbers or deployment scale. Constantine Komodromos, chief executive and co-founder of VesselBot, was named in the company's statement as the firm's lead executive.

The IDC Innovators designation highlights vendors operating below a revenue threshold who are judged to offer novel solutions to existing industry challenges. For VesselBot, the recognition draws attention to a product that ties shipment execution data to emissions and cost analysis across multiple transport modes, the company asserted in its announcement.

Industry observers will look to see whether platforms that combine operational telemetry, external geospatial signals and scenario modelling can produce materially different routing and procurement choices.
